Collective Worship

Here at St Hedda’s, we place Christ at the centre of all we do and therefore Collective worship is crucial in developing a way for children to develop a relationship with Christ and come to know him better.

Collective Worship and Assembly Timetable

Monday: Whole School Celebration of the Word

Tuesday: Child led Collective Worship

Wednesday: Class Worship

Thursday: Celebration Assembly

Daily Collective Worship is also held in the classrooms

Year of Prayer

Our Intent at St. Hedda’s Catholic Primary is to share in  the Pope’s vision to establish prayer as a daily relationship with God and to encourage us to deepen our own prayer life and love of God and to help other people to pray during the Year of Prayer.

We believe that Prayer brings us closer to God and to one another. We pray for ourselves and the needs of others around the world. We pray daily in class and as a community. These are the prayers that are prayed with the children each day. Please take time at home to pray them together.

ST HEDDA’S PRAYER

Dear Jesus,

Help me to show your goodness each day just as St Hedda showed us.

Help me to know and understand what is right and what is wrong so I can grow in Your love.

Let my light shine brightly, forgive those who need forgiveness and show kindness to those who need  kindness so they know Your love.

St Hedda, pray for us.

St Hedda pray for our school.

Amen

SIGN OF THE CROSS In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.

MORNING OFFERING Father in Heaven I give you today, All that I think or do or say. I want to join in all that is done. By Jesus Christ your dearest Son Amen

GRACE BEFORE MEALS Bless us Oh Lord as we sit together, bless this food we eat today, bless the hands that made the food, bless us Oh Lord. Amen.

GRACE AFTER MEALS Thank you God for the food we have eaten, Thank you, God, for all our friends. Thank you, God, for everything. Thank you, God. Amen.

END OF THE DAY PRAYER God our Father, we come to say Thank you for your love today. Thank you for my family And all the friends you give to me. Guard me in the dark of night, And in the morning send your light. Amen

✨ What a year it's been! ✨

As another incredible school year comes to an end, we're taking a moment to look back on the memories, milestones, and moments that made it so special. From exciting classroom learning and creative projects to sports, performances, trips, and celebrations, it's been a year full of growth, laughter, and achievement.

A huge thank you to our amazing pupils, dedicated staff, and supportive families for making our school such a wonderful place to learn and thrive.

Wishing everyone a happy, safe, and relaxing summer. We can't wait to start all over again! 💙📚☀️
